During a press appearance in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a stern warning that Russian President Vladimir Putin may be preparing to expand his military aggression beyond Ukraine’s borders, targeting another European nation.
Zelenskyy cited recent Russian aerial incursions into Denmark, Poland, Romania, and Estonia as evidence that Moscow is “testing NATO’s defences.”He said that the European Union and NATO appear ill-prepared to respond, revealing gaps in readiness amid escalating aerial threats.
He also disclosed that representatives from several unnamed European states will soon visit Ukraine to receive training in countering such aerial threats.
Russia, in turn, rejects these claims. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov responded during a United Nations speech by denying any intention to invade European nations and warning that any aggression against Russia would elicit a “decisive response.
